In the tradition of Benedictine hospitality, we welcome you to the web pages of the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center.
Our Center is a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery in Cullman, Alabama. We offer a variety of services designed to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the People of God, including private retreats, group retreats, luncheon meetings, days of reflection, and more.
In over 35 years of retreat ministry, thousands of men and women of many denominations have found spiritual refreshment and renewal in the gentle, tranquil environment of the Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center. Our setting on the spacious and beautiful grounds of Sacred Heart Monastery provides a peaceful, prayerful atmosphere in which to “come away awhile” to seek our loving and gracious God.

Even with the construction going on, the space is carefully maintained.
The holiness of the space and the generous love of the Sisters helped ground us in our faith for this new year.
Everything was pristine and very neat. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Renovation Update
Phase I of the renovation project (Ottilia Hall and Sisters' Dining Room) is proceeding well. The 'new build' portion of Phase II (new Retreat Center dining room and private retreat rooms) is also well underway. Weekly updates of construction progress can be viewed on our
